Victims Assistance Center of Jefferson County, Inc.
Serving the community since 1979 as a comprehensive victims services agency, our mission is to assist and provide direct services to victims/survivors of violence and crime in Jefferson County, NY.
If you would like to support our efforts in assisting victimized individuals and families in our community, we will gratefully accept a donation in any amount.
Donations may be sent or dropped off at our main office location during business hours. We are located at 120 Arcade Street, Watertown, NY 13601.
Cell Phones and Ink/Toner Cartridges
Used, unwanted cell phones can be used by victims of domestic violence. A cell phone can be programmed to call 911, regardless of whether the user has purchased a service plan or not. If you would like to donate a phone, please also provide the battery charger.
We will gladly accept your empty ink and/or toner cartridges. Each donation received is recycled and raises money for client services.
Verizon Wireless HopeLine® Program
"For the third year in a row, Verizon Wireless collected more than 1 million no-longer-used wireless phones through its HopeLine® program. Throughout 2009, consumers and businesses donated nearly 1.1 million phones. "Verizon Wireless is a recognized corporate leader for its commitment to preventing domestic violence and raising awareness of the issue."
"Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine program collects no-longer used wireless phones, batteries and accessories from any wireless service provider at our Communications Stores nationwide and puts the nation’s most reliable wireless network to work in our communities by turning these unused wireless phones into support for victims of domestic violence."
